Out and about

No exciting trips lined up at the moment, so we've been making the most of sunny England!

The other week we went up to Danebury Iron-age hillfort.

Sharon on some of the old earthworks.

As usual with a castle, Craig tried to invade it...

The wild flowers were beautiful, and attracted lots of pretty butterflies.

Last weekend (after more leaving dos at work) we went to the Living History day up at Old Sarum Castle. They had reenactments from a number of different periods, inlcuding Roman, Viking, Norman, Napoleonic and WWII.

A lot of the people doing the reenactments had recently been filming the new Nottingham film, and there were also some of the stuntmen from Gladiator.

Boom!

The redcoats advance towards the cathedral...

Today we went for a walk in the Cotswolds with out friends Dave and Helen, and their two daughters Emma and Katie.

Thankfully it stayed dry!

Dave covered in kids!

Sharon was very relieved when Katie didn't start screaming the second she picked her up!
