Paper Anniversary!
Hello! We're back! Well, actually we didn't go away - that was part of the problem on a travel blog...
It's been a while since we last posted, partly because both our cameras broke, and partly because, well, we haven't been up to much to be honest! Since moving house most of our efforts have been directed at getting it all sorted - but we still have boxes everywhere!
Tomorrow is our first wedding anniversary, and so to celebrate we went up to London for the weekend. After a lovely Mexican (mmm, fajitas!) we had the highlight, a trip to Covent Garden to see Swan Lake by the Royal Ballet (tickets being about the only thing Craig could think of for paper).

It was a great performance - a definite improvement on the Southampton Mayflower!

We stayed over at a Travelodge (as you can see, no expense was spared!), and then spent this morning at one of our favourite London haunts, the British Museum. We got all nostalgic and decided to search out a reminder of our engagement - the Moai statues of Easter Island! This time 2 years ago we were on Easter Island, and 2 years ago tomorrow Craig finally plucked up the courage to propose. The British Museum Moai wasn't quite so romantic though, especially as it seemed to have a giant plastic face in front of it (you can just see the ear in the bottom left), and a horde of Japanese tourists...
As always, Craig dragged Sharon around the Assyrian section, so we met our old friend Tiglath-Pileser with his handbag.
A new addition to the museum is the largest solid gold statue since ancient Egyptian times. If you had half a million pounds worth of gold, what would you do with it? Not this, I suspect... We thought it was pretty awful.
