It looks a bit Chile out there!

...Sorry, couldn't resist getting a Chile/chilly joke in there somewhere!

We've uploaded some more of our Chile pictures below, hopefully no repeats from ones we posted while we were away.

Inside Santiago cathedral. Santiago was a really nice capital, quite laid back, with lots of beautiful colonial buildings.

Torres del Paine was incredibly windy, and when you were up high it was often difficult not to be blown off the side of the mountain!

We visited the Concha y Toro vineyards, and did some wine tasting. This was probably one of Sharon's favourite days of the whole trip!

This is on Easter Island. The island in the background is where the competitors in the famous "birdman" contest had to swim to to collect an egg before swimming back and climbing up a huge cliff. Attacking and killing your opponents was a perfectly valid tactic apparently, so it's amazing that anyone got back alive, let alone carrying an unbroken egg!

The salt flats of Atacama.

Climbing the Villarica Volcano was hard work. Coming back down was much easier - we just slid down!

Magellanic penguins at Seno Otway. This photo was taken in a rare break in the torrential rain, but the penguins seemed to be enjoying themselves!

At Last! Another update! Argentina Piccies

Hi,

Sorry about the lack of updates recently - partly due to a lack of time, and partly down to a deep sense of depression now our 6 months is over and we're back at work!

Still, we've started sorting out a few more trips, so enthusiasm is back, and here are a few piccies from Argentina. Hopefully piccy updates from the other countries will follow soon.

Stunningly beautiful... Bariloche that is, not Craig!

The Teatro Colon was very impressive, especially the glass roof. Shame we couldn't go to see an opera, as it was being renovated.

Mount Fitzroy, one of the most imposing mountains on the planet... If only we could have seen it behind all the mist, clouds, snow...

Iguazu was one of our favourite places, although we did get rather wet there!

The southernmost train in the world... And probably the slowest! It took us an hour to travel 4 miles on our way to Tierra del Fuego National Park.

Giant hunks of meat became a regular feature of our time in Argentina.

No matter where he is in the world, Craig can always find a suit of medieval armour to have his photo with!
