Goodbye Gran

This post is just a small tribute to Sharon's Gran, Ivy, who passed away peacefully at Salisbury District Hospital on 11 January 2007, aged 86, after a sudden illness. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends, especially by Shirley, Bob, Steven, Antony, Sharon and Alice.

Here are just a few pictures for those who knew her to remember her by.

A special thank you to the nurses on Tisbury ward who cared for Gran so well and were so supportive to us, and to Rev Kim who was with Gran and the family at the end. Also, to the staff and residents at Buckland Court residential home in Amesbury, who became part of Gran's wider family during her last year with us.

Easter Island was one of our favourite places of the entire 6 months. The Moai statues were really atmospheric, especially at sunset.
